Institution: The Inter-American Development Bank<\/strong> BASIC FUNCTION OF THE CONSULTANCY:<\/strong> The general objective of this consultancy is to assist the Government of Suriname in its efforts to create a dynamic, efficient and effective set of business processes for SITA in order to attract more FDI. SITA is seeking an advisor who will provide mentoring and technical support to the Director of Investments. The advisor is expected to act as a mentor\/coach for the Director of Investments. The consultant will support and advise the Director of Investment on strategy, business process engineering, functions of the team, services and\/or negotiation with companies, promotion, aftercare, and policy advocacy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The consultant is expected to play a central role in the capacity building of the Investment team, shadowing SITA operations for a period of 7 months, 75% of the time with an in-country presence. \u2022 At least 5 years\u2019 senior-level experience in a major IPA\/TIPO running the FDI program or whole agency;
\u2022 At least 5 years of experience in the investment attraction field.
\u2022 Has participated in investment promotion projects in the Latin American and Caribbean landscape;
\u2022 A good understanding of trade and investment policy issues affecting small states;
\u2022 Experience in working with a broad range of stakeholders;
\u2022 Someone dynamic, flexible, driven, and who gets the job done. Considering the closeness in which the individual will be working with the SITA management team, a conducive personality will be top priority;
\u2022 Should be a citizen of an IDB member country;
